Cape May Court House – The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Gluten- Free Summertime Fare” presented by Chef James Harris at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. The program will take place at the Main Library located at 30 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
People who suffer from celiac diseases cannot tolerate gluten, a protein in wheat, rye and barley. Chef Harris will demonstrate how to make all the delicious foods that people with celiac disease can miss out on. His menu will consist of various gluten free items perfect for the summer.
Chef Harris, of Harrah’s Resorts in Atlantic City, was trained in the culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University. Harris has qualified as a GREAT Guide as part of National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) Gluten-free Resource Education and Awareness Training program. This qualification enables Chef Harris to assist chefs and restaurants desiring to learn about gluten-free cooking - the right way!
