Cape May Court House – The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Baby Birds” presented by Don Freiday at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13. The program will take place at the Main Library located at 30 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
The height of summer is the height of bird nesting season and by now all birds have had their young. Some may already be starting a second brood, having finished their first!
Cape May naturalist Don Freiday will explore the life cycle of some of our birds, focusing on how young birds are raised until "fledging or first flight and gaining their independence.
Don Freiday is a graduate of Rutgers University and is currently the regional coordinator for the New Jersey Breeding Bird Atlas. Freiday is also the co-author of two books: “A Precious Place, a Naturalist Explores New Jersey” and “Wild Journeys: Migration in New Jersey.
