County Residents take advantage of special services at County Animal Shelter in July!

Cape May Court House - The Cape May County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center celebrated its seventh birthday this month by offering reduced adoption fees, free services and tours of the facility.
 
On July 15, 2011, the Animal Shelter and Adoption Center held an open house complete with refreshments and a tour of the facility.  Also, through July 21st, all adoption fees will be cut in half.  Adoption fees include spay/neuter procedures, microchipping, vaccinations and a free vet visit.  Additionally, the Center offered free nail trimming and microchipping for cats and dogs.  
 
The Cape May County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is located at 110 Shelter Road in the Crest Haven Complex (exit 10 off the Garden State Parkway). The Shelter is open to the public Monday through Friday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Cape May County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center Staff work throughout the year to care for animals at the shelter and help to get them adopted.
Freeholder Vice-Director Leonard Desiderio, liaison to the CMC Animal Shelter, and Sheriff Gary Schaffer celebrate the 7th birthday of the Shelter that opened its doors in July of 2004 by cutting a birthday cake.

Rochelle Boggess made an appointment to get her dog, 3 year-old Misty Rain, microchipped which was one of the free services offered in July at the CMC Animal Shelter.
