Freeholders Declare May 27 Rachel Carson Day
The Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders passed a resolution on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 declaring May 27, 2005 as Rachel Carson Day.

Carson Barry, 11 year old from Dennis Township said a few words about the important work of Rachel Carson.

Freeholders Len Desiderio, Ralph E. Bakley, Sr., Freeholder Director Daniel Beyel, Carson Barry, Freeholder Gerald Thornton and Freeholder Vice-Director Ralph E. Sheets, Jr.
Carson Barry presented the Freeholders with a copy of Rachel Carson's book titled Silent Spring and received a certificate from the Board of Chosen Freeholders in appreciation for his efforts.
