Back to Article List U.S. Passport Fee Increase Effective July 13, 2010 Release Date: July 02, 2010 Contact:  Rita Marie Fulginiti 609-465-1018 coclerk@co.cape-may.nj.us Cape May Court House - County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti has been notified by the U.S. Department of State that U.S. Passport fees will increase effective Tuesday, July 13.  The fee for a first time adult applicant for a U.S. Passport Book will increase to $135.00 from $100.00.  Fulginiti urges citizens needing a first time passport or renewal by mail to apply by July 12 before the fee increase. Passport application fees for routine service will increase on July 13 as follows: U.S Passport Book for First Time Applicants Passport Fee Payable to Department of State Acceptance Fee Payable to County Clerk Total First Time Applicant Fee for Passport Book Adults (age 16 and over) $110.00 (from 75.00) $25.00 (no change) $135.00 (from 100.00) Minors (under age 16) $80.00 (from 60.00) $25.00 (no change) $105.00 (from 85.00) U.S. Passport Card for First Time Applicants Passport Fee Payable to Department of State Acceptance Fee Payable to County Clerk Total First Time Applicant Fee for Passport Card Adults (age 16 and over) $30.00 (from 20.00) $25.00 (no change) $55.00 (from 45.00) Minors (under age 16) $15.00 (from 10.00) $25.00 (no change) $40.00 (from 35.00) Adults renewing their U.S. Passports by mail will pay $110.00 (from 75.00) for routine service. The County Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The office will be closed for the Independence Day Holiday on Monday, July 5, 2010.  For more details go to http://travel.state.gov/ or call the County Clerk’s Office at 465-1011.
