County Library Hosts Butterflies and Dragonflies Lecture
Release Date: July 11, 2011

The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend a lecture on “Butterflies and Dragonflies of August”.   The program will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 9 a.m. at the Main Branch of the Cape May County Library located at 30 E. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Cape May County is home to hundreds of varieties of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies.
Naturalist Pat Sutton will host the talk that will cover natural history and identification of butterflies and dragonflies followed by a leisurely outdoor walk, weather permitting, to a nearby natural area.
Sutton has studied the natural world for thirty years. She and her husband, Clay, wrote the landmark book, Birds and Birding at Cape May, an in-depth result of their efforts over many years documenting and protecting the migration and the Cape May area that they so love. Sutton’s wildlife garden is a teaching garden included on many tours and featured in programs and workshops she teaches.
If you have binoculars and field guides, please bring them with you to the lecture. For more information call 463-6350 or visit www.cmclibrary.org .
