 Physical Therapy

The physical therapist provides specialized treatment to assist residents in regaining their prior level of functioning for maximum independence at home or in the long term care setting.
Speech Therapy
The speech language pathologist at Crest Haven provides ongoing treatment in a program that includes screening, evaluation and therapy for language, voice, articulation and fluency disorders. The speech therapist specializes in addressing dysphasia (swallowing disorders), which is a critical problem often overlooked in various disorders.

 Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapist at Crest Haven is a member of the rehabilitation team that provides services to individuals of all ages who have physical, developmental, emotional and social deficits. Occupational Therapy provides specialized assistance in learning skills that enable residents to lead more independent, productive and satisfying lives.
The goals of all the specialized therapies is to have the resident reach their highest level of function, with the ultimate goal of discharge back to thier homes whenever this is possible. The use of the Rehabilitation kitchen and bathroom trainig areas prepares residents to make the transition home much easier.
